Professional Experience
2013 ☞ Now
I am the ux designer in one of the product teams responsible for the most high traffic pages of idealo.
Occasionally i play the role of UX Lead in multi-disciplinary company wide projects (called focus & flow projects), and in the past co-lead the project group responsible for successfully establishing the design system at idealo - which is now a standalone team.
Part of my day to day work:
Finding & prioritizing measures that help the users and enrich their experience at idealo (and bring us closer to achieve the company OKR's).
Product discovery, data visualization, collaboration with user research.
Moderating workshops, design sprints, ideation sessions.
Creating concepts & designs for new features or website improvements - always after a solid discovery/research phase.
Coming up with hypothesis/test scenarios and defining metrics for quantitative and qualitative research. Everything we do is AB-tested.
Aligning with stakeholders, other teams, and inside the UX community if needed.
Fostering active participation and aligning with front-end and back-end developers during and before implementation.

User research: I conducted interviews & diverse user tests, developed surveys, etc
Identified challenges faced by specific users on the Xing Coaches & Trainers platform and improved the product accordingly.
Created/designed a new profile for the Xing Coaches & Trainers based on user research, data and stakeholder insights - it was very well received by the users.
Co-created features that function like bridges between the Xing Platform and the orbiting products i worked on.

Created data based personas and organized workshops to increase the knowledge of our users across different departments in the company.
Used the personas to create user journeys and identify pain points of our different users, that were then tackled within the different product teams.
Researched, designed, prototyped and user tested the (still live) mobile filter experience of the products, increasing conversion and reducing bounce rate, and reducing product returns (because more users found the right fit).
Improved the ordering and return & odering forms for better understanding and more correct completion - event though those forms are printed paper, improving the design & UX saved the company a lot of money, drove people to purchase better lenses and return orders less. In the words of the CEO "this really moved the needle".
